Yes, my first speedpaint. Turned out alright, but I did learn a lot, so yay!

Anywho, I think that we as a human race don't really have the words to describe some of the feelings we have. When you cry you're sad, right?

Well, I think that there are many kinds of sadness:

Disappointed sadness: Where someone dissapoints you, and you're not angry, just sad.
Heartbreaking Signifigant Other Sadness: There are few people that can hurt you more than the ones you love, and often it hurts more to watch them hurting themselves.
Heartbreaking friendship sadness: Friends are the people we turn to for help and acceptance. We're humans we need it. When we don't get it, or a sudden source of comfort is taken away for any reason (moving, dying...etc), it is sad...but different than "signifigant other".
Charity sadness: Charity is the pure love of Christ. It encompases everyone, and watching people who you don't even know can break your heart just as much as the previous ones I've mentioned, but again, it's different.
Personal sadness: When you're not angry, just sad at yourself because of something you did or didn't do, or think. Dissapointed Sadness combined with ashamed sadness.
Ashamed Sadness: When you do something you're ashamed of, and you're not mad at someone for catchign you...your sorry you did it in the first place, just because you know the act is wrong and/or will hurt people.
Depression: Can be caused by any number of the affore mentioned, or a combination of many of them, but it is a hightened state of sadness, to a point whier life seems pointless.

Then you get into things like crying at movies because you feel for them, and of course sadness at the loss or departure of a loved one.

I think I've barely scratched the surface here, and they all tie in together. Guess that's why we only have one word to describe all of those levels of emotion.

Read into this picture whicever one you feel she has...and maybe it's you that has it. Only when we acknowledge our problems can we truly fix them. We just have to be honest with ourselves.

I like it. The hair especially when in full view mode, kinda makes you think of a waterfall or something, you've definitely captured emotion here... :)

This is the best kind of person to talk to: someone who is willing to take an honest look at the evidence. Being willing is essential. Evidence cannot convince the unwilling.

I can't really come up with a comment for this one.... Sadness isn't a good topic for me, because I rarely experience more than one over the course of years. This picture, and your comment, really do set the mind to think though. And thats something kinda hard to do.

A life? COOL! Where could I download one of those???
:iconobi-quiet:
Well I appreciate that. Thank you.

I tend to think like that all the time. "we don't have words to truly describe this".
