Normally my modle/friend doesn't have this kind of an intense look on her face, and I don't think she could have chosen a better time to show it, because IMO, it's a beautiful picture. :D

I am in love with that hair. It has such a messy, yet poetic, alive feel. Gah, I want hair like that.

Ahhh! Floating head!

Very cool, if I lost my head, I'd want it to look just like that until I found it. :)
Hmm...facinating. At first I was wondering if this was done using a cloth wrapped around her head or if this was the result of photoshop. But there are some obvious details that reveal it's just an illusion.

Namely the hair and its reaction to the cloth, very difficult to emulate. And the obvious rising of the cloth as it reaches her shoulders and chest.

I stink at photography but I love to edit photos. So....hmmm. I won't but it's a wonderful challenge. The cloth does an excellent job of framing the subject, and so does the hair. The face draws you in and the hair pulls you down forcing you to see the whole picture in a somewhat grotesque fashion.

The blue eyes really intensify the picture, and the roundness of her face couldn't be more perfect for this particular sentiment. This is indeed an intense look, though I wonder if the look is as intense as was intended. I mean it's fine, but...seems to lack something. I can't quite put my finger on it.

The lighting is fine, coming from what appears to be the right or bottom right of the face. The left side could be a bit more shadowed to get a better effect but that's my opinion alone.

Actually scratch that, though the light appears to come from the bottom right to the exact right it would be better if the cloth itself and maybe a bit of the hair were darker. This would better frame the face, and with the natural lightness of the skin give a more ghostly effect to the piece. If that's what you were going for anyway.

This is excellent, congratulate your friend for me on a job well done. But the intense look doesn't suit her. Next time you're able, get her to smile.

Fiction is the only Reality.
I had this excellent picture of her smiling...well, it was a good look on her. The picture turned out so blurry I couldn't use it. *sigh* She's an awesome person though.

Darker hair, huh? Well, I actually had to curve this quite a bit to get this light, so maybe I'll tone it down a bit.

The only thing I "Photoshoped" was some of the acne on her face and a bit of the roughness. Frankly, this turned out VERY different from what we had started with (we were originally going to use the poncho/cloak she was wearing at the time like a background and have her wear a black and red shirt with some black and red gloves that we found at a local store), but this was a kind of spur of the moment thing, and this picture happened to turn out the clearest. I do agree that there is something missing, but I also think that adds to this particular picture.

Fortunately, she doesn't look like this often...the empty but intense look. She normally has a smile on her face, or she's plastered to one of her games/writing notebooks...and the looks she gives those (while just as intense) are definately NOT empty. lol.

Thank you so much for your input. I really appreciate it.

LOL! With the way the hair is falling and looks like it's being held up by something undernieth, I doubt it. ;) But I see your point. Hey, at least you focus on the head. ;)

I have never seen her hair like that before, and I doubt I will again, because it's usually in a ponytail or something like that. However, her hair is naturally strong (despite her poor, saving-up-for-school financial situation) and absolutely gorgeous imo. :D

Just FYI, the hair is my favorite part of it too. :D

But then you'd have her head, because it would look just like that...;)

I'm glad you like the picture hon. Thanx.

...her head is floating. And yes, great intense look. The eyes really draw me to this pic btw. Awesomez.
